was the simple phrase that sparked it all. The unexpected catalyst for our lifelong adventure. Instead of settling down, we followed a calling to explore the world, and that one choice opened the door to a life we never imagined.
It resonated so deeply with our journey that it became a motto, and now, a piece of our merch you can wear wherever your own adventure takes you.
ARCTIC COLLECTION
This Collection was inspired by our recent Journey up the coast of Norway, above the Arctic circle and up to Svalbard. From the mountains, to the night sky and Northern lights, paired with splash of our beloved chalkboard we have onboard... everything about this design is so unique to UMA.

THE UMA WHISKEY
During our sailing journey up the rugged coast of Norway, we stumbled upon Myken—a remote, windswept island sitting just north of the Arctic Circle. What was meant to be a quick stop turned into something much more.
As soon as we stepped foot on the dock, we were greeted by Roar, a warm-hearted local with a big smile and an even bigger story. Turns out, he runs the world’s first Arctic whisky distillery—right here on this tiny island in the middle of the Norwegian Sea.
One midnight tour later (with the sun still hanging low in the sky), we found ourselves tasting single malt surrounded by barrels aging in the salty ocean air. Let’s just say it didn’t take long before we were dreaming up labels and picking out casks of our own.
And just like that, our Arctic Whisky journey began—born from a chance encounter, a shared love of craftsmanship, and the spirit of adventure that brought us to Myken in the first place.
